« on: April 05, 2008, 10:16:46 AM »
Anyone here own or shoot a Ultra Rifle in  .308 Win. with a  22 " Bull Barrel.  I am thinking about calling to see if this barrel part # 808     *308 Win., 22" Bull  is available and fit my receiver . But would like to know how they shoot, I will be reloading for it . Thanks TF

The Ultra Hunter 308 has a standard contour barrel, the Survivor is the only configuration the bull barrel is sold in as a complete rifle, I have one of the Survivor barrels in a camo laminate stock set, so it's as close to an Ultra as you'll get. All rifle and shotgun(exc 10ga size) and Huntsman barrels can be fitted to modern SB2 frames made since 1999. Mine shoots the 168gr TSX w/Varget excellent, 1" or less at 100yds. ;)

I have the survivor with that barrel on it and it shoots great with all the factory ammo that I have tried for it. It's definitely worth the money!

Well I decided today to order a NEF Survivor in .308 Win instead of sending my frame in for a new barrel... kinda uncertain about doing that right now but I am glad I made this choice, Didn't cost that much more anyway   ;D . TF

Great Choice.  I just got my survivor .308 about a month ago.  I threw a Bushnell 3-9x - 40  on the top and left the survivor forearm but replaced the short and unpadded stock with a replacement synthetic. The 22" Bull shoots great.  I have not tried much through it yet, but it does quite well with factory 150gr. stuff.  Good Luck!
