Suggestions on powder for 6.5 JDJ?

I'll be using primarily 120 grain bullets, and wondering what is your favorite load? Have heard that AA 2520 gives good velocities, as well as Varget? e-mail at drminak@hotmail.com Thanks!

Been shooting thr 6.5 almost 10 yrs now.  Greatest thing ever put in a Contender.  JD's recommended load of IMR4320 and 120gr bullet worked soooo good, I never tried another powder.  Shot 85 Sierra and 100 BT also with IMR 4320.  GOOD SHOOTIN',  Walt   :-D  :-D  :-D

My two favorite powders in the 6.5 are Reloader 15 and Varget.

Heard pistol primers are more consistent?

I would stick with large rifle primers.

 I used AA2520 for a few years and switch to RL15. I know Doc Rogers uses RL15. That says a lot!!!!!

Yep. Love the RL15 but now I'm trying N140 & N160 with the Hornady 140 gr A-Max and Sierra 140 HPBTM. We are going to have a 500 meter silhouette range and I figured the 6.5JDJ with the 140's would do the trick.
