Ain't cha gunna miss the swarms of fly'n critters in the tent? And how about the chance of layin up against the sides of the wet tent while snoozin. And layin in the dirt ya dragg'd in with yer wet feet? Ain't cha gunna miss that????
I'm realy feelin sorry fer ya.

I'd rather poke myself in the eye with a pointy stick than stay in another tent.
The worse part of it , and there were many things that were runner ups to being the worst , was no matter what we ever tried we never found a good solution to sleeping in a tent, , sleeping took alot out of you and as I age it was only getting harder.
Don't over look the packing up to go , set up and return packing and unloading , now I just leave the camper loaded cept food and some cloths , and of course bring firewood , but all that loading/unloading is over.

Camping is a wonderful way to get away. Hardtop trailers are the best. I had a tent trailer, only to loose the canvas to field mice. I also had a hard top trailer, till the kids grew up and lost interest in camping. The only setback is gas mileage towing them. :)

I use a slide-in truck camper.  On hunts away from home, like the Brookes Range or Deadhorse 700+ miles, it acts as a base camp.  The tents are along for shorter excursions of a week or so. It also helps with the bears.  Something with a hard side on it is certainly better than ripstop nylon.  Having the heater, frig. and stove is a bonus too.

I was real little last time I had any camping in a slide in type, seems like a good option and retaining alot of your mobility
