Active prospectors...where do you sell your find?
« on: April 13, 2008, 03:24:38 AM »
Was wondering if you try to sell your finds on the eBay type sites?
Or do you just keep your finds?

I'm surprised that no one has replied.
If you find an unusual find, then you can almost name your price.
No,it won't be the same price for bullion gold.
Gold wire in the rock, and gold crystals are the types that collectors are looking for.
The old calibers and guns got the job done

Up here in Maine, there are many prospectors. Gold is rare but found along the Swift river in small amounts. However. Semiprecious gems are plentifully and one could easily make about 40 to 50 bucks a day on average, if fit enough and knowing what to look for. There are outlets for selling you finds. Mostly local. Like Perhams on US Route 26 in West Paris Maine. If you ever find your self in these parts. I highly recomend stopping in. If you have the slightest intrest in geology you will be there for a couple hours! The internet might work but, boy it takes some time .
