 Lee, wasn't planning on it. I will be lucky if the ice even goes out in the north this spring.If it does, and I get to go , I will go floatless. I already carry a ton of stuff when I make the trip. And green pelts take up an awful lot of space on the return trip, not to mention weight.
 Floats will have to wait for another time.

yep , understand Tom,  when i go way back in i carry snares and drowning cable, plus skinning tools  to skin out bvr instead of carrying whole bvr out.  Glad there arent too many of those spots as would really cut down on  checking sets and putting new sets out every day.
