Waiting for Beartooth
« on: April 18, 2008, 05:18:47 AM »
I'm wondering how long it usually takes to receive an order from Beartooth Bullets. A friend and I both ordered bullets from them on March 17th and I ordered some more on March 28th and neither of us have seen anything as yet. The website said there is no "backlog" so I assumed they were getting orders out pretty quickly but that now seems not to be the case. It is no problem for me to wait but my friend was wanting to load up some .44 mags for his new Redhawk in prep for a trip into grizzly land and is leaving in a couple of days now.

I too have ordered bullets. Can't remember when now, but I know there was a price increase since I ordered them. I was thinking I read some where it takes 6 weeks. That was after I ordered them. My order has been in at least that long and I still have not heard a thing. Almost forgot about them, until you mentioned here. It is the first time I have ordered through them and I guess I was a little naive. I was thinking I would be getting them in a week or so. :o

I just looked it up, they confirmed my order 3/1/08. It has been 7 weeks. Still no word.

I placed an order on Feb 23, still no bullets, they're back logged at least 6 weeks from the email I got from them in early March, seems to be much longer than they expected tho.

I have two boxes of Beartooth bullets sitting in front of me, both .44 cal. Yes, they did take a long time to get here, but well worth the wait. The first order (from January) I emailed them about in March, I was told they were snowed in and shipping (and receiving) was very slow. The second time I emailed them the reply was they are very busy and lead is getting harder to get.   I believe them, and I got some very good bullets and good customer service from Beartooth. All the other bullets I bought from  them came within 2 months, usually 6 weeks.

Had I known that I may or may not have ordered, my friend definitely would not have but their website clearly stated "no backlog"!

My first, last, and only, order from them took eight weeks.
By the time they got to me, I had sold my .44 and forgotten that I even ordered them.

Yep, I see how that could happen, I've probably done something similar. ;D
