IF so how about a range report. I have one on order and missed the first shipment, wondering if its worth the wait.

That rifle is on my wish list. It sure is pretty. I think I read some where though that it will not shoot the heavier bullets well because of to slow of twist. I could be wrong but I think it was this rifle. Good luck with it and let us know how it shoots. Dale

The first time I read  the ad in the Remington catalog it quoted a 1/10 twist. That's been amended to 1/9. I don't plan to shoot bullets over 129 grains since some 120 gn 6.5mm target bullets have a ballistic coefficient over .500. I'll let you know when the rifle comes in.

My rifle should be to me soon. Anybody have theirs yet? They are also showing up on Gunbroker now.

My local dealer has one.  A very nice rifle, IMHO.

I want one bad.

I handled one at Gator Gun and Knive in Sulphur, La, the dude had not even had it out of the box, he took it out for me to look at and it is HAWT.  I have a 700 MTN LSS and it was very hard walking out w/o that gun.  He wanted $899.

I wish Remington would just chamber the 260 Rem in their SPS or SPS Stainless

I have been saying that for over a year now. My next rifle will be a 7MM-08 but if they were to chamber a SPS Varmint in the 260 that would be hands down the rifle I would buy. Dale

Remington if you are reading this:

.260
stainless fluted 24" or 26"
AND laminated

I promise I'll buy it.

Quality, fit and finish of the rifle looks excellent . The gun was advertised as "magnum contour barrel " and 7 5/8 lb. Barrel is sporter contour and 6lb 15 oz!. Nice and light for a 24" barreled sporter but I was looking more for a hunter class silhouette  and a beanfield rifle. Will try to get it out to the range next week. Don't hold your breath waiting for Remington to bring out another 260. This great  caliber seems to be only saved from extinction by target shooters and a few 260 fans. Everyone else missed the boat due to "Magnum-itus"
