375 H&H
« on: April 20, 2008, 02:15:16 AM »
Does anyone have one? I am thinking of making a good hog carbine that will drop anything. I know that they can be loaded down for brush and stoked for bruins. I have heard mixed reviews as to their accuracy. Just wanted some feedback.....

Are you talking carbine (rifle), or handgun? You've asked it in the handgun forum. I have one in a bolt action rifle that shoots great. I don't have one in a handgun.

TC doesn't offer a 375 H&H barrel as a pistol, but I suppose if you had to have one, MGM or one of the custom makers could oblige you.

I have a 375H&H Prohunter rifle barrel, shoots real good with 270gr Hornadys with a near max load of N160 @ 2670fps, that's  two 3-shot 100yd groups, the group on the left is .5gr more than the other group after a slight scope adjustment to keep it on the paper.

I didn't even realize that I posted in Handgun side of the encore forum, my bad. However my question was answered. If you can get 270's into a group that size then I am sure with more tweeking it could get smaller.
