Out of everything I applied for I only drew archery anterless elk in unit 6A South.

So it looks like the deer and trukey will be over the counter archery.

I drew unit 21 for Coues deer and unit 6a muzzleloader bull elk in Az, I also drew x9a muley in Cal! :grin:

A couple of my friends here in the valley drew cow elk muzzleloader tags for 6A this year and I will be taking them around.  Are you familar with the area?

No, I'm not familiar with the area at all except for looking at maps. My buddy (that also drew a tag in 6a) knows the area and he also knows a guide who lives there so we will probably hunt with the guide. I believe his name is Ty Goodman. This will be my first elk hunt as I have never been lucky enough to draw before now. It will also be my first hunt using a muzzleloader, didn't expect to get drawn. But you can bet that I'll be doing my homework!

Good luck MF, it sounds like you are set.  It's my favorite area and the only one I put in for elk.  There are some nice bulls there and with the local guide you will be in good shape.

Thanks for the heads up Tom. My brother and nephews were skunked(deer). My boys were skunked (youth hunt, deer). I was drawn for mule deer unit 29 second hunt! No elk for me this year. It could be worse.
