what kind of ballistics are you getting using a 140gr. bullet??

What are you trying to do with it?  If you are talking pistols, the 7 08 is too much for me.  I prefer the 7 30 waters.  That said, I do like reduced loads of 4895, very accurate and still kills anything most of us shoot at.  BTW, I sold my 7 08 pistol barrel and bought a 7 08 Bergara, which is extremely accurate.

 I haven't used the 140's that much. You could always deduct 25-50 fps per inch to get a guestimate. I have used the 120 prohunter and the 130 ssp from sierra and they are both deadly. That of course being on whitetail down. Clay pigeons beware!!!!!!

254 with a 140 NBT - 14 inch barrel
DRT every time with deer and antelope.

I think Ernie's keyboard left out a "0" at the end of that number...otherwise, my old Bear bow will win that velocity race by 10 fps!

Yep, 2450-2550 is easily attainable with a 14-15" barrel, and a number of propellants, including the tried-and-true H4895, will get you there. Re-15, AA2520, H335 and Varget also merit consideration, as do H4350 and Re-19.
