Looks good.  I just bought a 12x24 with one garage door  and an entry door to keep garden tools in.  It also has a bench all the way around and a loft.  The outside is aluminum siding with a dead bolt on the entry door. It came with 20 year shingles. It has 2x4 studs and sits on four 4x4 treated runners set on blocks. There are no windows. It has four electrical outlets and two overhead UV lights. I got it delivered and probably paid too much.  It was $2200 with set up.  The storage shed business is taking off in my area but there is a lot of competition.  I don't know how they make these things and deliver them for the price I paid.

I charged the customer $4,000.00. I have about $2,600. Maybe a tad more in material. This shed is built like a house though. Everything is on 16" centers and they roof and ceiling joists are framed with 2x6'S. I also put a 25 year roof on it. If these people replace the roof in 25 years this shed will last the rest of their life for sure. This shed is also completely maintenance free. It has vinyl siding along with aluminum sofit and fascia. They will never have to paint anything on this shed ever. The shed you bought are the studs and roof framing on 24" centers? Also did they use trusses? You got a good deal seeing as I have more in material on this shed than you do having it delivered and set up.  Dale

That's a nice shed Dale. Very well built. I should think the customer was happy, looks like a well spent $4k.

Thanks. Yes they are very happy with my work and they have some other things they want me to give them a price on. Dale

Yeah it's built on 16" centers, it has to be to be sold in my area.  They used roof trusses but they are also 2x4.  We don't have snow here.  The only thing that looked cheap on these things were the windows.  That is why I didn't get any. I'll see if I can post some pictures if I ever figure it out. I'm not knocking your price at all, that is alot of work for the price and it looks good.  The prefab buildings are what I bought because most carpenters in my area won't build them.  I guess they can't compete with the prices of the prefab units.

I never took it as you were knocking me. You did get a good deal. The only thing you building is lacking other than mine would be I have 25 year shingles and it is concreted into the ground. I sure could not do it for that price and you did real good. Dale

You do good work, to be completely honest; I tried to build my own because I could not find anyone.  It was more work that what I was willing to do.  The price of lumber/materials also detered my project thus me taking the easy way out.  I bet the shed you built will be here long after we are.
