Does anyone have a drawing or a link to a drawing of how all the internal parts interact on  1911?
Thanks,
Jim

I've found those exploded views all over the place. What I'm looking for is a drawing or schematic of the pieces in place and how they connect to each other. Kind of like a cut away i guess. Something showing the trigger, disconnector, sear and hammer and possibly the grip safety and how they all interact with each other when in place in the pistol.

Thanks JHM almost forgot. I should have been a little more clear in my first post.

I think this might be what your looking for.   You can get cut aways of different sections of the gun with animated action of how things work.

That was it thanks. I'm doing a custom build of a 45. My first one and I'm having issues with the grip safety and just wanted to make sure I knew how all the parts worked with each other.

This may not be a help--but--for a screensaver I got from the STI site shows a working 1911 in a number of cut away shots, and , it is free.

Thanks I'll check that out too. If you get a chance check out the link rbwillnj put up. You can delete certain parts of the gun and reinstate them as you wish, it's pretty cool.
