I would say that with a two handed grip it wouldn't be that big a deal. I know several shooters prefer using index finger to release mag, the release is reversable if you prefer though. The decocker will require you to use other hand though. I'm pretty sure it is available in DA only, so decocking would not be an issue. If DAK is available in that model it would be preferable to the DA only. DAK gives a more Glock like trigger action,  not the same but best I can describe here. You lefty's seem to figure things out, and I'm sure that you'll make it work if you want to. (my oldest is a south paw)

My son is a lefty and shoot one with no problem.  He said you just have to adjust to "all the controls" being on the wrong side, but after you get use to shooting it you wouldn't trade.

He also shoots right handed bolt action rifles and is very efficient in bolting another round in.

They're OUTSTANDING!  I have two P226's and one is for my right and the other for my left.  The magazines are notched on both sides to accomodate the ambidextrous mag release.  Now when I say "ambidextrous" it means "one way or the other" - not both.  All you'd need to do is remove the grips and you'll see a plate with a raised tab - that needs to be tapped rearwards to come out.  These parts are then moved to the opposite side and re-installed and the grips put back on.  Now you have a left-handed magazine release for your P226.
