O.K., this is not as serious as Dales' question; it's just for fun:
3 traveling hunters stop for the night at a cheap Hotel. The clerk tells them it is $30, and each of the 3 pay $10. After they leave, the clerk realizes he should have only charged $25, so he takes five $1 bills out of the till. On his way to te room, he realizes he cannot easily split the $5 three different ways. So, he pockets $2 for himself, and gives each of the hunters $1 back. Now, each hunter has paid $9, times 3 is $27, and there is $2 in the pocket of the dishonest clerk. Where in the name of Norman Bates did the other $1 go???
