Encore 22LR mono block design
« on: May 05, 2008, 08:05:13 AM »
Tc sells a Encore 22LR rimfire barrel with what they call a mono block design
it looks like a  stub barrel that was  put together
anyone else have one of these?
The barrel is high gloss and the stub is matte. just does not look right.

I have mixed match matte and gloss scopes, bases and rings, so looks don't bother me.

I would like to buy a 22LR in a Encore pistol barrel.

I have one on a rifle and the finish is almost exactly the same.  In fact, the mono block part may have a slightly higher gloss, but so little difference it is hard to tell.

When I read this I had to pull the rifle out of the safe to see if there was any difference.  I bought the barrel fairly recently from Midsouth - nothing special.
