Rainy day project
« on: May 07, 2008, 05:21:23 AM »
Here are some photos of the kitchen I am working on for my wife. I only work on it when I can't fish or shoot or ride ( or when the wife gets on my a**). I can no longer use my left hand to hold much weight so I am  slower at doing some things. The walls are 10 in. thick. The only new material that went into it was some of the framing, insulation, drywall, floor and bead board on ceiling. Cabinets are made from scrap oak ply from my son, Face of cabinets is solid oak from the saw mill, cabinet doors and trim  are from old wood from the inside walls of the barn. Counter top is salvaged Corian. I did have to buy one sheet of oak ply for the bar front. Window sills ect. are solid oak from a salvaged cabinet, it was 16 inches wide. I still have to do the area around the microwave and make doors for the pantry cabinet. I will try to find a shot of the area before I started on it. The door beside the frig goes to the full bath I put in. I still have to make a corner cabinet in there.

Here are two more shots. I need to learn how to reduce the size of the photos to get all of them on the same post.
