reminton auto reloads
« on: May 07, 2008, 11:35:33 AM »
I have a 308 win. in the 742 woodmaster and a 280 rem. in a model 4 Remington autos. I have 150 gr. corelock and 150 gr,. hornady interlock for the 308. I have 139 gr. hornady for the 280. I have IMR 4350, IMR 4895 and IMR 3031. Anybody out there have a good load for each that will not beat the actions up to bad?

My advice is to buy a can of Varget and use it for both rifles and rejoice! As simple as can be.

I got great results when I used a small base die and trimmed after every sizing.  I would use a mild load.  Odds are you don't plan to shoot across the county anyway.

In the 308, 4895 with 150-165 gn bullets middle loads from the loading manual, full length resize with regular dies worked for me
