Thoughts and prayers will be with you.

Let's get you back to shooting and loading.

From the title I thought you meant one last revolver!!!!!!!!!  No way.

Good luck Sir and I hope they get those wires where they need to be.
I have had a few lay-offs from the shooting as of late, It is amazing, considering my overall experience that when I do get back out there I am like a kid with a brand new BB gun.

Hopefully this crap will end soon and i can get back to what i love. SHOOTING!!

I definitely hope that this one will do it for you Lloyd.  I'm healing some, but it seems I cannot get away from the pain either.  Our prayers are with you.  44 Man

Well Old Buddy, I've partially dodged the bullet at this point.  I don't want to hijack your thread but this is a good chance to catch up to date since we are both in the 'back problem' area.  I've gotten my last MRI results since I was hit by the truck and they are not good.  I have a vertebra that is out of line big time one way and a disk pushed out of line the other (12mm) and pressing against my spinal cord.  It's not impinging yet and there is no talk of surgery unless my condition worsens.  But I am in pain all the time and if I did have surgery, I think I have had enough friends go through that to know that the pain would not go away even after surgery.  We are doing physical therapy to strengthen my back and support the damaged area (and losing weight) and working on long term pain control.  I am on restrictions not to lift anything over 5 lbs, (how much is a box of bullets?).  Lloyd, I wish you a speedy recovery and the ability to still enjoy the things you used to do.  I don't know if I will be able to return to work or ride my beloved motorcycle but at least I'm not all crippled up yet.  My prayers are with you Lloyd and I appreciate any in my direction too.  44 Man

See what a reputation will do? I thought you were referring to handguns, also. Seriously, you are in a serious situation and my prayers go out for your speedy and full recovery. The shooting range has a waiting target!

44Man-prayers for yourself. also!! The only thing I ever found that would take off weight was a divorce. The 2nd one proved it beyond a doubt. My 3rd wife is my charm, and I've packed the pounds back on, but.......I can only encourage you to proceed in your program - weight reduction will help the chronic pain - but I pray God will impress upon your doctors to get a little smarter and make it happen for you! God Bless.

Sweetwater

lewis whatever i picked up from or after this surgery is a dieters dream come true. I havent ate in two days and what ever i try to eat comes out one hole or the other about right now! I know how depressing the pain can be after a while but i think for me anyway ive come to grips with the fact that i will hurt in some form or another for the rest of my life. That isnt the major problem in this deal its all the dealing with the doctors theropist and work and the comp people that puts mental strain on a guy and worrying about your finantial future. First thing you need to do is talk to your doctor and get his backing for social security disability and get an application in imediatatley. It may sound drastic right now but if you havent talked to your lawyer about it its time to do that. there is help for you but you cant be a spectator you have to jump in and get whats owed to you and fight for it. My major problem right now is my medical insurance thorugh work is going to end in a couple months as our union agreement only states they have to carry me for a year. A guy needs to get medicare rolling as fast as you can to protect what you have as if another problem pops up  and you dont have insurance it can cost you everything you own. Im sure my deal will work out in the long run but its sure a mental stain while a guy is sorting through all the hurtles they put in your way.
