I have done the search, seen the pictures, checked the FAQ, etc.
I have a 22-250 fluted 24" bull barrel coming home with my Buffalo Classic.
My plans are for 99.9% target shooting at 100 and 200 meters in "cast bullet competition".
Yes, it will get a couple jacketed bullets down it from time to time, but mostly my own cast creations.
that being said, I am looking at the Simmons Whitetail Classic Rifle Scope 6.5-20x 50mm Adjustable Objective Truplex Reticle Matte.
I picked this scope because of the reviews say that it looks great on higher powers where most (lower priced) scopes get dark or cloudy
I have seen a pictures of Quick's with medium rings. For those of you that have this scope a couple questions:
Would you go with high rings, or medium rings?
Would you pick the Truplex, or mil-dot? Keep in mind most of this will be shooting targets.
Here is what the target looks like. I can't see this target with the stock sights on the buffalo classic because of the red color.
I have a feeling the mil-dot would allow me to center the inside circle with the blocks where the truplex only gives me a cross hair and I need to estimate where the center is?
