Loctite and Guntite thread compound about the same?
« on: May 19, 2008, 07:44:07 PM »
On the accutrigger mod for the savage hmr rifles where you cut the trigger spring, would Gun Tite  also work to lock the spring stationary instead of Loctite? I already have a brand new tube of Gun Tite is why I ask. Thanks!   :)

Blue guntight is the same as blue locktight, locktight makes it, probably even says so on the tube.  Just don't switch colors.  Larry
A gun is just like a parachute, if you ever really need one, nothing else will do.

trotterlg is exactly right. I have been through two Loctite training seminars and I asked the Loctite instructor this exact same question and he told me that it was the same as 242 Loctite (blue).

GOOD SHOOTING!
