When I heard he has been in the Senate since '62, I got to thinking about politicians in general. Since '62 we've had a war on poverty ( welfare, public housing, etc) that has failed, and destroyed the black family, with resultant crime wave, etc. We've had war on crime, that restricted some gun rights. That failed. We've had Social Security system plundered, but of course Congress has their own system. Our immigration system has continually gotten worse. Infrastructure has deteriorated. Public school systems have fallen to the wayside. I could go on and on. The point is, I feel like they ( Congress ) have created a dynasty for themselves, like royalty, and that is their main concern.
I managed to bum myself out thinking about it.
In the news, quite a few folks said Teddy was a fighter, but he sure as heck didn't fight hard for Mary Jo's life.
Of all the dozens and dozens of Kennedy "extended family", how many have been in the armed services, or cops, or firefighters, etc.
Just a bunch of upper-crust crumbs, in my opinion.
