Glad you like the gun! As far as the single-shot Rossis go, I think the action size is small on all of them (maybe even smaller on the youth models). When there's only room for one round, and no complex feeding mechanism like semi-auto or bolt-action, you can do away with a lot of the bulk of the action. My first single shot was an NEF, and I too was kind of shocked by the narrow action. But I like guns to be on the shorter/smaller/lighter side (even though I'm a big guy). No need for a 10-pound, 50" gun!
