help with a henry
« on: May 27, 2008, 04:41:07 PM »
I'm disassembling a Henry big boy in 44 mag so I can send the receiver to an engraver. Last thing to remove is the barrel. I can see it is threaded onto the receiver but my question is standard thread or reverse thread? Any body taken one apart before? any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Disregarding your thread question, given that receivers usually have to be wrenched off the held barrel - what's going to happen to the finished engraving, when it's wrenched back together ?

If it were mine, I'd find out if the engraver can work with the barrel installed.

So everyone knows. The barrels are standard thread.
