Take Home Trophies?
« on: May 28, 2008, 03:56:30 PM »
JJACK, please tell me if this works.  I would like to come to Africa sometime and hunt Kudu, Gemsbok, and Warthog.  I really don't have a trophy room or want to spend a ton of money to have more than one trophy to take home.  I am not so sure I wouldn't Have a skull mount, European.  What works here?  I also struggle with the idea of shooting some animals and take them from the pool of animals if I am not going to have them mounted there by taking a chance away from someone else who wants the mounts.  Should I pass and forget the trip to Africa?  Is there some type of hunt like a trophy hunt for Kudu and a mangement hunt for some other game?    Please tell me what you think.

LOL.  The first time I went to Africa, I didn't think I would bring home any trophies either.  So far, I'm bringing them all home.I got this Klipspringer with a 180 yard shot on my recent trip.  Isn't he pretty?

Buckfever you can always go to New Mexico for the Gemsbok.
License runs around $1,600. if i remember right, my friends son guides for them.
the state says they are becoming a problem at white sands, but not enough to lower
prices.
