I've had the heavy 26" stainless .223 barrel for 200 bullets worth of use. Price, quality, bore, crown, accuracy are all excellent. Heavy means heavy!! Kinda wish I'd gotten the 24" - but do like the velocity I'm getting.
Best group with my tired eyes is .471, 3 shot. That load does at least .500 consistently.
Headspace fit is the best possible of the barrels I have.
Negatives - the forearm holes are about 3mm forward of my others so that the forearm has a slightly larger gap at the rear. Only an aesthetic thing for me. The extractor spring has too much umph and the extractor 'ears' are too sharp, resulting in case scratching and too much force needed to push down on the case when loading and pulling fired cases. This was also true with my prohunter t/c .25-06 barrel. I weaken the spring by shortening and polish and round the ears until no more case scratches.
I wish I had another Bergara, or a whole set......
