Catch circles

Catch circles are definite eye catchers.
How do beaver react to them?

My beaver never get the chance to make a circle! Use 330's and its lights out! catch circles and beavers don't mix on my line!

Buts there's still advice in there. I would say anything out of the ordinary would catch their eye! Remember they are just over sized rats! Not a coyote! Don't over think it!

My logic is: The beaver doesn't come back to the lodge/den in the morning or whatever. The mate or family member will be looking for it. As the family member is swimming along it smell the missing beaver (at the catch circle) and comes into investigate, and gets caught.
Does that make any sense??

Makes all the sense in the world!! I don't think its the circle. Its the scent that draws it in. Great spot for a set!! Good idea it WILL work!

This question is a guess for me,only because I mainly stay in the water. And while I have had an animal or two rip up a set, in the water, most times there is little disturbance. That being said,I have taken beaver the day after a coon, mink or rat --in a pocket set.Curiosity may be the attractant, the same thing may be said of a land--catch circle--doubt it would scare them in the least---but you always run into an individual or two that do not act normally. And in these cases they may react negetively to a catch circle.
If that isn't hitting both sides of the aisle--I don't know what is.
