skunk help #2!
« on: June 08, 2008, 09:13:13 AM »
Mother skunk is terminated. Found that she dug a den under my patio slab. A blind set 120 took care of her. Now I have the little ones to worry about. Not knowing much about skunk biology, will the little ones come out of the hole? Also I assume that the little ones are able to spray. Any ideas?

I don't know from experience but I've been told the little ones can spray also.
Good luck with them.

The young ones are already locked and loaded. They can and will spray.

yu can, if yu know they are in there, suffocate them with a hose from your tailpipe into the den. ive also heard of pouring gasoline down a garden hose stuck deep in the den then plugging the den with dirt. the fumes will get them.just make sure your plug any holes the fumes can escape from around the edge of the slab with dirt.i probably wouldnt go to such extremes with any other varmint but ive dealt with rabid skunks a few times and their ferocity will surprise yu.
