Ruger Single Six in 17HMR
« on: June 13, 2008, 05:56:01 PM »
I bid on and won a Single Six in 17HMR...Blued with a 6.5" barrel and those plastic or rubber grips(whatever). $300 plus shipping for a NIB mini blaster...  I will probably replace those grips with some nice wood grips. I plan on shooting it for a little while and then possibly dropping a scope on it in the near future. A Weigand scope rail and rings topped by a 2x scope of an undetermined maker as of yet.

I think that $300 for a NIB Single Six is a pretty darned good deal...What do you guys think?  I already sent a money order to the seller. The gun should be at my FFL by the end of next week.

I've been looking at a 2x Weaver handgun scope. Any one have experience with this scope.  I've seen them listed for approximately $99 on the internet.  A little more magnification may be in order...

This is a great Gun.  I have had mine for 3 years.  I have a 2x Leupold on it and can hit orange clays out to 75 yards free handed.
