DAN WESSON 357 MAG. WHAT MODEL?

 I have a Dan Wesson .357 mag, ajustable sites, I will call it a pork chop style be cause it has a different shape than my DW .44 mag and my DW .445 super mag, has the same shape frame has my others just smaller. It has square post. want to put hogue grips on but not sure wahat model I have. please help? ???

Sounds like you have a Model 15 (not a Model 15-2).  If the barrel nut is internal it is a Model 15.  If it has an external barrel nut then it is a Model 12.

The primary visual difference between a Model 15 and a Model 15-2 is that the Model 15 has a porkchop barrel shroud whereas the more modern Model 15-2 has the straight barrel shroud.  Both use internal barrel nuts.

To answer your question about grip; there are only 2 styles, the small med frame 22-357 mag. these have a square grip post as you mentioned.  The other style is the 357max up to 445 and some rare models above 44.  These all have a round grip post and within each group most grips are interchangeable.
