I was wondering if you could put a m1 carbine front sight on a mini 14

Almost any thing is possible but I doubt it would be a simple buy/install. The diameters of the barrel band and barrel would likely not work.. Also theres the matter of the front sight height to consider. It all could be worked out but WHY???

That's understandable but the front sight's height is predicated by the rear sight's height... So to lower the front's height the rear has to be lowered also.. or more likely changed to another style. A barrel mounted sight would be lower and would allow a shorter front to match..

There are specialty bases for the early Mini-14's that allow no drill scope mounting. I used one on a good friends and it has worked out quite well.. Been on there about 10 years now and hasn't moved yet. Don't remember the maker but came from Brownells..
