A good sunday afternoon!
« on: June 23, 2008, 10:51:03 AM »
I had (one of) my Grandaughters over to the house this weekend.  We were fortunate enough to be able to spend some time shooting.  She is 17 and doesn't get to come over very often so I let her shoot some .22's and a cylinderful of .44 spl and .45lc.  We both had a ball.  She did some decent shooting but this was her first time with a pistol and she was learning saftey and control.  She enjoyed the shooting but wouldn't let me show you her target for the day.  However, I couldn't help showing you mine!  I kept the same 15 yd target as we switched through different guns.  This contains well over 50 .22's, 4 .44 specials, and a cylinderful of .45.  I dropped one .45 and one .44 out of the targdot, but the old man didn't do bad!  What a lot of fun!  44 Man.

Looks like a lot of fun. I spent Sunday afternoon burning up about 250 22's.

That's great with your granddaughter, I love to see the younguns get interested in shooting.

Other than having a great afternoon, I really do like this as the bottom line as there seems to be no shortage of handgun enthusist among our youth.

Wife and I have 7 kids between us, and all but the 3 1/2 yr old boy love to go out to shoot.  And he's got his own play ones to learn to handle safley.  It's great to have them all intrested, and has given me the best excuse to buy more guns, "Honey, it's for one of the kids!" ;D   Well, after I'm dead they will have them all to split up.  Till then, I get to give great birthday and Christmas presents! ;)  DP.
