GUN RIGHTS UPHELD BY THE SUPREME COURT!!!!!!!!

HOOOAH! The supreme court just upheld our right to bear arms in the most important decision we have seen!!Its sad that it was a 5-4 decision in this country f0ounded by firearm owners but its in the books and a huge win for us!!

From the syllabus (unofficial summary) of the Heller opinion:

"The Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a
firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for
traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home."

(I haven't read the entire opinion, but that sounds good.)

A win yes, but as Rush Limbaugh said, 4 of our SCJ voted to eliminate the 2nd Amendment from the Constitution.  Those four judges should be watched very closely.  How easily we could have lost our rights today.

I skimmed one of the descenting Justices opinion it seems he adopted the anti's same old arguments.  I am afraid this is one area that I cannot see any validity in the other side's position.  In MY opinion, FWIW, I agree with StimpyLu; it should have been a unanimous Court.  I will read the published descents with great interest.

back in the day you could drink whiskey , then they passed one of them amendments and ya couldn't drink ( or get caught drinking ) then they did away with that amend... and bact to drinking . Sounds way to easy to change things ?
