I have a 20" Puma 44 mag and next time I'm at the range I'm going to run some rounds through the cronograph.  Mostly handloads, but probably some factory rounds too.  Has anyone else done this?  If so what were your results?

Never shot one through a chrony....You can figure about a 300fps increase in MV over a handgun....

Well,
Last weekend I had my Puma 44 mag 20" out and ran some of my handloads through the cronograph just to see what they were doing.

240gr  Hornady XTP HP
24.0gr of H110
1,676
1,686
1,657
1,684

240gr Gold Dot
24.0gr of H110
1,619
1,647
1,608
1,698

I also shot some factory ammo to see what it was doing.

Grizzley 320gr Hard Cast
1,573
1,587
1,588
1,583

I don't know if any of this will mean anything to anyone, but you have it in case you're ever curious about it.
