S.B.
I had never checked for confirmation on the web site so you may have to bring me up to speed on this once they do their posting.
Used to be that we would (hold our breath) for a month or so hoping that our personal check was not returned. Now a day's, they cash everyones check and then do the returns at the same time that they send out permits.
This is kind of devious but the Intrest that they draw on the unsuccesful applicants would be unreal. If I would happen to be one of the (unsuccesful) this year, I am going to write them and demand the intrest that my $15 would
Have drawn over that time period. ;D ;D ;)

Randy, the processing charge will not be returned, if you don't get a tag?

 :o :o :o Don't know!
They used to do it (return monies) but I have only had it happen but once. I was always one to check that box that say's to wit (if all are taken, would you consider buck/doe only) and I did recieve a few of these while locals that I know who selected full season either sex were rejected.
There is lots of pressure for lots of permits these days because the insurance companies are madder n heck about not being able to sue a dead deer. I dont know how many people are rejected these days...might not be that many as we had a 58% sucess rate with 100,000 deer taken. Lots of permits for sure and I believe that my numbers are on the light side.

I mean the fee when you use a debit or credit card to apply for a deer tag? You loose the processing fee if you don't get the tag. You've got the advantage over me, living near Springfield, you can go straight to their office and apply.

You would be correct Sir as the fee for card processing would be lost for sure.

She is a pretty building for sure. The central part of the building actually sits in a pond with either end connected to high banks.
You ought ta see that place on "Deadline" day's, their can be 30 people in there at any givin time. I still need to apply for the Late season.

I just looked at the state site and found the section that you can search for your results, and mine also still says that my results are pending..... i hope that I find out soon! My son and i will be attending the Hunter's Safety Course at Cabelas in mid-July and he is very excites! I am too, because will get a new hunting buddy!!!! Even though i have hunted 25 years, i have never taken a safety course, but since i want to hunt Colorado next year, i need to have a certificate.  Now i have to start looking into the youth hunts in the state, so he can get out this year! It is nice to see how excited he is!!!!

I signed my son and myself up for a hunter safety course july 12-13 in Steger. I'm really looking forward to spending some time in the woods with him. He doesn't have much patience though and I see him getting bored pretty quick.

My permit was in yesterdays mail. Even though I knew that it was coming, to have that common deer permit in hand is like Christmas morning every year ;D
I guess that I just really enjoy getting out there.

I messed up and only got one tag for opening season. >:( The park I used to hunt is a special hunt area now. I applied for two tags but I guess they limit it to one per person. I applied for open tags in the same county, hopefully I'll get them.
