How hard is it to import an old revolver into the US?
« on: July 01, 2008, 11:02:23 AM »
My aunt has an old Colt 38 revolver that she would like to give me.  She is hesitant because of the laws in Canada regarding handgun ownership and transportation not to mention transfer of ownership.  I am not familiar with these laws.  Is this going to be a difficult process and where should I start? thanks for the help.

I am not sure of the laws but thought maybe someone who has hunted there can tell you about the transportation part.  The BATF might be able to help with some info as well.
