New hip procedure is a life saver
« on: July 02, 2008, 02:14:29 AM »
I had arthritis in my right hip. I went to the local doctor and was told to wait until I was 60 years old for a total hip replacement, I was 46 at the time. Last year I heard about resurfacing. I found a doctor, Michael Clarke, in Syracuse NY who was licensed to do the procedure. It was developed in England and Dr. Clarke is British. I had the procedure done and was back to work in 6 weeks. I am now hunting, trapping, boating and riding horses again. I have no pain whatsoever in the hip and feel like I am 18 again. If you have a bad hip and have been told to wait, you no longer have to. They put Chromium Cobalt ball and socket inserts in and they are designed to last a life time. Don't live with the pain, get it fixed and enjoy life again. Shotgunner
