What?  No way to vote of other calibers?

I'll put a big second on the 7-30 Waters.  Just got a single shot, and am now waiting to get my Win 94 AE back from the smith with a barrel I got from Numrich several years ago screwed on.  And I didn't see anything that said I couldn't vote for all the ones I want to see. ;)  DP.

Ya know, if they could put out a 38-55 with the .375 grooves, I'd have one in my hands so fast the ink wouldn't be dry on the check yet!  Don't know why it's so damn hard to get things right on a simple thing like that, when we can calculate the speed the universe is moving apart. ???  Just don't make any sense to me.  DP.

Voted--- .444 Marlin

What a smart move by Mossberg. They sensed that Americans were missing the departure of Winchester, and they stepped in to fill the nostalgic void. Is this good marketing or what?

Now this is assuming that Mossberg is still owned by Americans, and if they are not Americans, they are close enough to us in spirit - say Aussies - that they understand what it is like to be an American man these days - particularly one who engages in that most politically incorrect if pastimes: killing animals, and eating them!

Best of luck to you all this season.

Peace,

Kernman

Oh by the way: I voted for the 38, 357 caliber. I have a Marlin 30. 30., but if I ever had had the extra cash, I would be willing to try Mossberg - assuming it wasn't junk.

Wow, I can't believe that they have the Marlin 444 on there but not the 45-70. The 444, while a great round can't compete with the 45-70 in popularity.

I voted for 45 Colt. I would like to see other larger pistol calibers, 480 or 500.

A 38-55 would be nice, but they'd scoop the market if they came out with a .357 Maximum and .445 SuperMag. Those of you who like the shorter Magnums could still use them. LOL.

It's both interesting, and surprising to me that the largest percentage so far is for the .41 Mag! Actually, the only way I might buy one is if it were available in calibers that I couldn't get elsewhere like the 25-35, or 38-55(with .375 groove dim, and proper chamber).

I would have thought the 35 Rem would be more voted for, I am in the market for a .44mag and my brother a .45 colt...I handled the 30-30 and was really impressed.

I don't do straight stocks so the Mossberg would be out in any case. I did vote for the 35 Rem. BTW I heard that Marlin no longer chambers for that round. Is it true?

Marlin still chambers .35Rem in the 336C... unless it's being dropped for 2009,
but I've heard nothing of the sort.
BTW I voted for the .35Rem as well, 2nd choice would've been the .45 Colt
