I've been playing with sierra 120 gr. bullets and RL 19. I think I can do better and try some RL15. Any one have a favorite Powder?

I bought a 284win a few years ago. The seller through in about 80 rounds of the factory 150 grn loads so I have not reloaded for it yet. I was planning on trying the 139/140?grn Hornaday Interlock bullets. The advice I saw was to stay at 140 or under due to the shorter neck. I think I would try some H4350,Varget, or something else in that comparable range.

I have an A-Bolt Micro-Medallion in 284 & it sure is a sweet gun in a great cartridge.

The wife has a re-chambered M 77 from 7mm08 to 284 Win. One of the best shooting bullets is the WW-150 gr. Power Point with W-760. There are other  bullet/powder combos that work well with this rifle. We never tried anything lighter then 140 gr bullets.

I have loaded .284 for my hunting partners Micro Medallion with H414, a 140 grain Nosler Partition bullet and Rem 9 1/2M primers. The load I came up with is fifty one grains(51.0) on my scale. YMMV
