Scoping 1894, 357, will Low rings work, or need Med?

Wanting to try a Leupy 4x33 or 2.5x20 in lieu of Peeps......will say Warne Weaver style lows clear hammer ok, or need mediums?

I always use low on all my levers. They have pretty low combs to be used with iron sites, so the lower your scope the better. Never had trouble clearing the hammer, I even have a model 36 that I can't get a hammer extension for but I can still jam my thumb in enough to cock it without one.
