Dear Guys,

My friend is looking at the possibility of buying a used Marlin Camp 9.  But, as with any used semi-auto carbine, it would be crazy for him to  buy one if he couldn't get a spare/replacement extractor, ejector and firing pin.  I understand that Brownell's doesn't carry these parts, and that Marlin is restrictive in selling them.

So, the question is:  who is able to buy these parts, and how can they obtain them?  Does Marlin restrict them to gunsmiths only?  Is there another source?   What is the story here?  There are probably half a million of these used carbines out there, and somebody must be able to get these very basic parts.

Thanks,

Mannyrock

Did you check with marlin customer service?  I haven't checked the website but Marlin was pretty good with service.. I don't know if these are still made but if they're not that's why brownells doesn't carry parts, they carry mostly parts for current production weapons, mostly.. Did you check with GunPartsCorp and the other obsolete model parts suppliers? If there is a demand usually someone will supply it. Just happened to have the Numeric catalog in front (older issue though) and they show parts for the camp carbines,,both the 9mm and the 45.
