Whats on your C&R (other military stuff)Wish list????
« on: July 09, 2008, 01:31:32 PM »
Ok with the C&R's finally drying up plus the market is slow whats still on your wish list to buy????

I been pondering buying up more mosins just because i can while there still affordable(i really mean CHEAP).

I like the VZ58 but the $800 price tag for a gun that shoots the 7,62x39 round has me on the fence, i really don't need another sks.

Century arms has romainian sks's again plus more yugo sks's too.  Aim surplus has some britts in 308.  Of course the prices on the other stuff is much higher too. Even the russian saiga's are going up too.

I guess browsing gunbroker is next.  But make sure you look at Empire arms and Allens armory too.  They sure do have some great looking stuff time to time too.

I would really like to have an 03a3 or a nice garand. I have a bunch of bolt action mils and the only other one I want is a springfield. As for the semi autos a garand sounds good. I will consider anything if it is a good deal of course.

I just started collecting CR (after getting the FFL). I like guns that have a feature that seems like a good idea, but doesn't really end up adding much.

Examples I own:
Nagant Revolver - no cylinder gap
Carcano - gain twist rifling
Styer 1895 - straight pull bolt

I also like cheap (well maybe I don't like it, but I also collect Contender barrels and Handi rifle barrels and I want to stay married).

So I am thinking either a Mosin for the magazine that holds the next round from pressing on the round being fed
or an Enfield for the fact that it has a two piece stock on a bolt rifle.

Actually, it's rather easy and cheap.

Once you send the paperwork in it takes about a month to get your C&RFFL03 license.  Don't sign it at all. You need to make copies and sign the copies and mail them to every C&R Dealer your going to do business with.

My favorite ones so far are;

Aim Surplus
Samco Global arms
Southern Ohio Gun (SOG)
Century international Arms
Allens Armory

Then send copies to numrich gun parts,  brownells, midwayusa too for dealer discounts on everything from gun parts to ammo and reloading stuff.

Getting my C&RFFL is the best thing i ever did.  I don't think there is a down side to it.  Were the honest gun guys for sure.
