I don't debate religion, as it has got it's place. I was brought up catholic, 12 years catholic school, so I know it's views. All I can say, is since I've come to this state, I have experienced things I can't explain. I am very logical minded, I want proof, and so far little real knowledge has crossed my path.
My nephew and I were scouting places in the area I hunted, Bloody Basin (named for General Crook who wiped out a group of Apaches in the area, killed them all, men, women, and children), and he took me down a some what passable road to an old camp site about 4 miles off the main dirt road he used 20 years ago. The road crossed a wash, so we stopped there and walked a ways past another old homestead of Indians to where he stayed. Again, nothing left, but some flags from a survey team who explored the site. Coming back we stepped off the road, and looked for pottery chard's. We pick them up, admire the skills of the makers, then drop them. Ever get that feeling someone is watching?? well I did, and looked to my side in the direction of the wash, saw no one. We continued walking a few yards farther, I looked back again, searching for a body, eyes, something, but nothing. I told my nephew were we being watched. It looked like a good area, but not for me, not with someone still there, especially a person I could not see. I am a solitary hunter, like the wide open spaces, and vast areas of wilderness in Arizona. I hunter the Catskills since I was 16, and never saw a ruin of the native peoples, but here they are all over. Has anyone reading this had similar experiences, please write back. Rachel
