Hogs have been hitting my feeders hard lately so I went out last night about 10 to see if any were around. None at the feeder so I followed the trail that goes down by the lake and into the swamp. I was standing next to the lake thinking I might get a shot at a beaver. Then I heard something up the trail. It was a big boar in a wallow about 15 yards down the trail. All I could see was the back end of him. So I hit him with the light thinking he might give me a shot. But he just layed there and rolled in the mud. This went on for about 5 min's. He finally sat up and looked around and gave me a shot at his ear. He went about 10 feet in to the brush and expried. I couldnt recover him till this morning. Im not sure how much he weighs but my little 250 4-wheeler wouldnt drag him. Had to go get my dads 400 4x4 to get him out of the swamp.

Nice hog. Also nice to see someone else hunting with an AR. Is it a .223 or something else?
