Shotgun slugs and hogs
« on: July 16, 2008, 03:38:21 AM »
I have two slug guns I set up years ago for hunting public property in Texas but since I haven't hunted public land in a long time I figure either of these two would make good night time hog guns. Both are smooth bores, a 20 gauge and a 12 gauge. The 20 is sighted in for Brenneke slugs and the 12 is sighted in for Winchester rifled slugs. They both have scopes and they both are pretty accurate shooting into 5 inches at 75 yards.  Anyone have any experience shooting big feral hogs with slugs of this type?

Slugs work great on hogs. I have a fully rifled Mossberg with a scope. Check out dixie slugs with a google seach. They make some awesome stuff
