A different experience.
« on: July 24, 2008, 08:55:30 AM »
I had heard a lot of people saying that CZ wouldn't do anything for cracked stocks in the 550 american safari, and they were forced to buy a new one.  I just called CZ, because of the bed of my stock had cracked due to recoil, and they said send the stock in, and they would take care of everything.  Now if it ends up being a bandaid on a chainsaw wound, I will have something else to say, but we will find that out when I get the stock back.

I have seen cases where an individual would place a fine piece of leather around the cracked wrist grip of a full curl hard maple flintlock stock then secure it with sequins or rhinestones :o ;D
Hopefully this will not be your case. I would really suspect that CZ will do right by you.

Got my package today.  They sent me a brand new stock, free of charge.  Good looking wood too.

Excellent!
I would rub a little linseed oil into the barrel channel & reciever housing if they appear dry at all.
