3" loads

Good day,

  I have a MEC press that dates to the early'60s.  I'm not sure of the model no., but 250 sounds right.
  My question, and I posed this to MEC, was if I could load 3" shells.  There was a 3" kit, they replied, but long since discontinued. 
  SOOOOOO, does anyone out there know what the kit consisted of?  I remember a split, metal ring -- maybe 3/8" to 1/2".  So I bet that was part of that "kit".  I'm wondering if I could "yankee"engineer something to work.  I only plan on loading 50 or so buckshot loads.

Back in thr 70`s I loaded on an old Pacific 110 and was able to load 3 in. ammo on it, with alittle adjustment and would think you could do the same with the Mec.

I converted a MEC Sizemaster press that was given to me to load three inch shells. There were two holes below the base one used for 2 3/4" shells and a second hole that allows for raising the entire press for the 3" shells. Certain stations like the primer press-in station had to be raised with a spacer to press the primers into the hulls. I think that's about it.
