Cartridge Belt Needed
« on: July 25, 2008, 09:13:49 AM »
I am in need of a cartridge belt that would hold the .41 Remington Magnum.  All I can find are for .38/.357, .44-40, and .44/.45.  The outside dimension for the .41 is approx. .430, so the .44/.45 (.476) would be too big, and the .38/.357 (.374) is too small.  I always carry a trail gun, and I now have a belt with elastic holders.  But every time I return from the field, I find that many cartridges have fallen out and are lost.  Does anyone know if anyone makes a belt for this caliber?  Could anyone advise on maybe shrinking the .44/.45 loops down to fit? Or the .38/.357 up?  Back in my hockey days, I always soaked a new pair of skates and then form-fitted them to my feet for a tight fit.

 Any help would be appreciated.

It would be a little time consuming, but you could take little flat strips of leather, and glue them to the back of the inside of each loop in a .44mag belt to take up the space.
