I have a late 60s bring back with a corroded chamber and a 90s Norinco production. Both are fun to shoot and as billy sez, with a little practice you can hit a brick at 100m. Have fun. Mikey.

The gun is fairly accurate and is fun to rock and roll with for plinking. I have a Chinese cheapie and use it for deer hunting in bad weather (with good Federal ammo).

I've got a 59 Chinese model that shoots very well. I bought it last year for $200.00 in excellent condition.

Plain as homemade soap, stout as a truck axle, and as much fun as I can stand and still keep my clothes on.

I have had several Norinco rifles as well as a couple of Viet Nam bring backs I bought from Marines. They all work well and will shoot much more accurately than any AK I have owned. I also have a couple of Russian made ones. Other than wood type they are like peas in a pod all the same except for the markings.

I was told by my ffl coworker I had to get one of these if i liked guns when they first hit our shores. After shooting it I have to say he was right!!!! This was as much fun to shoot as my very first 22lr was when i was a kid. I'm sure i had the same smile too on my face.
All I can add is when firing a new gun to you for the very first time, make sure you bring plenty of ammo. Thru years of experience at the range i have never had enough ammo with new guns. I was having so much fun shooting it i would run out of ammo before i was done with it. Trust me bring extra ammo your going to need it. The sks is a hoot to shoot.
