Need help finding
« on: July 27, 2008, 11:32:06 AM »
With Maryland's new laws:  during Maryland's hunting seasons when a hunter is required to ware hunter orange, a hunter from a ground blind must place 250 square inches of orange flag vest or band, or hat on or with in 25 feet of a enclosed blind.

I am looking for some of the orange flags that road workers use to direct traffic but not having much luck finding any. Where could I find 2 of them? They should meet the stupid law

You can get bands designed for blind hunting from most outdoor suppliers. Mine is about 5" wide with velcro at each end. Works on any size tree and unlike a flag, won't move. Roll up and are easy to carry.

I thought I had seen them at Lowe's or Home Depot.  But I didn't see them on their web page.  Here is one from Ben Meadows, they have been in business for a long time.  I have ordered surveying supplies from them in the past.

Or 5 of these would equal the 200 sq in requirement   ;)

going down the road I saw one and stopped and a few days latter I found a second one and picked it up. I guess someone was looking out for me.
