My Tikka T3 doesn't like 180 gr. Interbonds

I had some Interbonds I wanted to load for deer season upnorth here.  Hunting in thick brush.  Accuracy is the most important when shooting thru a 4" opeing in the brush, velocity is not the major concern.  Most shots 75yds-150yds.  Anyone have any luck with Accubonds, or any  other bonded bullets?  I am open to most any powder just want an accurate load totry in this gun.  It really like Barnes TSX but I need a bonded bullet with more expansion with this trip.    Thanks   Buckfever

If it was me I would shoot a plane old bullet. My second choice would be trophy bear claw.

Speer has a good selection of inexpensive bonded bullets. The 180 grain bullets are a bit heavy for deer but if that is what you like then give the Speer a try.
The round nose is good for reduced velocity and close in shooting but if you want to go out to 150 yards I would recommend the spitzer soft-point. In a 24 inch barrel you can get at or just over 2700 fps if recoil isn't a problem.

Why bonded?  A 165 or 180gr Rem Core Lokt bullet or for that matter just about any of the standard cup and core hunting bullets will take you where you want to go. While they've been making the bonded bullets so they would stay together for the magnum guys, the plain jane bullet makers haven't been sitting on their hands.  There are a lot of good bullets out there.
As posted, under say 250 yards, you ain't seen a deer slapped down until you've seen one hit with a well placed round nosed bullet.

Any bullet in the 06 will work for deer under the conditions you mentioned.

Round Nose bullets work for me as well. The Speers have a higher BC then Hornady besides being bonded and a 150 gr bulet is all you need for deer. If you handload and your shooting distance is as close as you wrote you can  made reduced handloads for the 30-06 with H-4895 that will be less V's then a Savage 300 and use 30-030 type bullets for it. Very pleasant to shoot.

PaulS.  Need some help here.  I thought that the Speer Hot Core process was better than cup and pour but not as good as Bonded.  I thought that Speer had one tougher bullet the TBBC, Trophy Bonded Bear Claw.  That was the only one I thought that was bonded.  Please fill me in, I could have this wrong.    Thanks  Buckfever
